Every Scene Needs a Point of View

Oddly enough, I’ve never offered this class online!

Point of view is the bedrock of every relationship. You state your point of view, and your partner states theirs. Sounds easy, right? But how often are scenes derailed because actors don’t hold onto their points of view or mindlessly add unnecessary details that throw the scene off course, causing it to meander while the actors stand around wondering what to do?

Recognizing, maintaining, and evolving a point of view creates confidence and leads to exciting, authentic, and honest scenes.

This 6-week workshop follows the exercises in my book, A Subversive’s Guide to Improvisation, Moving Beyond “Yes, And.”
