Flow, Opening up the Creative Channels
Get out of your way and FLOW
Join us for a six-week masterclass designed to unlock your creative channels and inspire surprises.
As I’ve written in my book, A Subversive’s Guide to Improvisation, Moving Beyond ‘Yes, and’”, your brain is a liar and an a**hole that does a great job out of talking you out of being the creative genius you know you are.
The doubt in that brain is the only thing that prevents you from making unique and interesting choices. Creative flow thrives when you understand you can do no wrong and that every impulse can lead you to exciting, rich characters and strong dynamics. Surprise yourself by opening up your channels of possibilities.
This masterclass is open to artists of all media looking to tap into the raw and vibrant spirit of “flow.”

Chicago's Dramatic Improv Festival - 2 Masterclasses
Coming Back to Chicago
2 Masterclasses at 1 Great Festival
As far as I know, this might be the only improv festival dedicated to improv as acting, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this festival. Some of the finest improv teachers have been invited to this event in the heart of the improvisation and theater world.
ALL CLASSES WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE 2ND AND 3RD FLOORS OF THE EDGEWATER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BUILDING (DIRECTIONS HERE) AT 1020 W BRYN MAWR.
Click on the links to register for the masterclasses.
What are you focused on when you begin a scene? What great offers are you missing because you’re building a story instead of a relationship? Get in Focus will teach you how to use the power of your kinesthetic responses to build strong scenes the moment the scene starts. Recognize how your body tells you where to focus your attention, then build a great connection from there.

It’s the bedrock of every relationship. You state your point of view, and your partner says theirs. Sounds easy, right? But how often are scenes derailed because the actors don’t hold onto their points of view or mindlessly add unnecessary details that throw the scene off course? Recognizing, maintaining, and evolving a point of view creates confident and exciting scenes.

Raz in Westport, CT, Three Masterclasses and a Weekend Intensive!
I’m coming to westport, ct!
I’m excited to have my debut at Westport’s Community Theatre for three masterclasses and a weekend intensive! Can you handle all the subversiveness? OF COURSE YOU CAN. Here’s what you can expect:
The challenge for most improvisers is trying to stick to “the rules” and believing “Yes, and” is the magic formula for a successful scene. Characters meander and never find their footing. In an instant, you travel from a state of fluidity to a mess of frustration and ask yourself, “How did I go wrong?” or “Now what?” Pick up A Subversive’s Guide to Improvisation and join the fun! (Books available for purchase at the workshops.)
These masterclasses provide methods and exercises that teach you to connect to your partner and the scene without worrying about the rules.
All workshops take place at Westport Community Theatre, 110 Myrtle Ave #109, Westport, CT 06880.
