4 Workshops with Unscrewed Theater, 11/15, and 11/22

  • Unscrewed Theater Tucson, Arizona United States (map)

Two Mind-Blowing Weekends!

Two full days of focused fun that’ll change the way you play.

My methodology is simple: Be emotionally aware. Period.

The secret to great improvisation is having an open mind and an acute sense of awareness. Everything else is icing on the cake.

This workshop – perfect for beginners or advanced improvisers – is designed to take you to the next artistic level.

This four-part workshop series will teach you to:
• Recognize emotional connections.
• Establish strong points of view.
• Create scenes you’ve never seen.
• See the world in a different way.

Workshops are $60 each, and can be purchased as a $240 package here.

Pinpoint Point of View
November 15, 2020 11am-2pm MST

Identifying emotions through shape is the basis for all of my improv teaching and performing. It starts your scenes off on firm ground.

The focus of Pinpoint Point of View is to learn how to use shape – also known as “body language” – to determine your point of view, and to hold onto it. It is the single most important element of a strong and focused scene.

Play the Moment
November 15, 2020 3pm-6pm MST

A moment means a pause, a reflection between lines of dialogue. It gives you time to respond truthfully to what’s happening in the scene. It can also be an indication of a new beat.

Recognize the power of playing a moment and allow yourself to feel the impact of silence.

Perfect the Element of Surprise SOLD OUT!
November 22, 2020 11am-2pm MST

With no props, costumes or sets, improv allows us to take scenes in unexpected directions. Learn how beginning your scenes without “specifics” leads you to wonderful surprises. Let the relationship begin your scene, then discover the details later. All it takes is trust, courage, and an open mind.

Finding the WOW in the Who, What, Where! SOLD OUT!
November 22, 2020 3pm-6pm MST

Learn how to turn the mundane exposition at the start of the scene into something extraordinary.

There’s so much to get out of the mundane and so often we don’t see it. Effortlessly discover the heat at the very beginning of every scene just by refocusing your attention. Find the hidden gems, and watch your scenes shine. Everything you need you already have!

Come join us and see why actors have called this methodology “freeing,” “exhilarating,” “inspiring,” and “artistically refreshing.”

“David Razowsky…will inspire you to consider every breath, movement, eye blink, touch and word in a scene. He will inspire you to become the actor you never thought you were and show you that in the first second of an improv scene, you already have everything you need.” Isla Suddek
