"Viewpoints Elements," Saturday November 19th - Sunday November 20th.
Nov. 10-13. Four days of intensive daily rehearsals, each day with one of our internationally renowned directors, leading to 4 evenings of improvisational theatre performance in a New York Theatre. There is nothing like this workshop anywhere in the world.
(This workshop is sold out, but if there's enough interest I'll add a workshop on Saturday, October 15th, from 10:30am-5:30pm. Email me if you're interested: email@example.com. Thanks, D.)
No games, no rules, no boundaries. This 6-hour workshop is designed to open you up to that which you feel, not that which you fight! "Dave's workshop is a game-changer!"
Five workshops, three days, one life-changing event at the great Unscrewed Theater in Tucson, AZ. This is the foundation work that will change the way you play, perform and live. No kidding.
Our four days of workshops, plus a Sunday Guided Performance is sold out.
We're calling this "Improvisational Tuneup with David Razowsky." I approve, but with a caveat: You don't need to tune-up what's running well. Let's "sub" call it the "Here's Another Way of Looking at It" workshop.
See the first step, get specific, let go, read your partner. The way we roll in the best order! Friday 29th of July through Sunday, 31st July.
Improvising as an Actor 15th - 17th July, Christchurch, New Zealand
This two and a half day workshop (1 evening + 2 days) is focused on getting the actor to become comfortable organically developing a character within a given set of circumstances. Actors will be taught how to effortlessly create instant relationships, compelling points of view, strong character choices, and exciting and natural scenarios.
We're making strong choices, and practicing the benefits of cooperation. It's a lot like grammar school, only we can now drive cars and make our own food. Monday, 27 June, "Strong Entrances, Strong Choices" (1 SPACE REMAINS!), and Wednesday, 29 June, "Operation Cooperation." All at The Improv Conspiracy in awesome Melbourne, AUS.
I love the folks in Denver, and I love Vantage Point and the Yes! Lab. We've created a workshop to help you find the creative freedom to allow positive emotional choices to drive your interactions with others. No need to conjure up an argument, defend your side of the story or your need to have your ego fully intact at the end of a perceived altercation. It’s not about winning or losing–it’s about communicating your truth from a strong, positive place you find deep within yourself.
"Strong Entrances, Strong Choices" is sold out, but there are a few spots left in the June 6th "Operation Cooperation" class. It's from 11am to 2pm., and it's boffo. Info is here.)
(We've sold this class out! Fret not, for I'll be back in November.)
Are you helping your partner smoothly fly through the scene, or are you not aware? If you’re there to be your partner’s “Hype Man,” you’re the perfect partner. The finest of scenes start with two actors working with one mind…the scene’s mind! Make the stage your “cooperating room!”
SOLD OUT The focus of this 12-hour, two-day intensive is to get the actor to set aside all of the unnecessary elements of improv training and replace them with a life-changing awareness of you being on stage with you.
You've been there. The two of you are having a great scene. It's cookin'. Then someone enters. Then things get complicated. Or do they? Group Scenes Reduced exposes you to the world of possibilities when the world enters your scene.
From May 13th-15th we're putting it all together at The Pan Theater San Francisco! Three days of workshops culminating in a "Guided Performance." We got the time if you got desire!
I'm bringing to Bozeman and the Verge Theater the notion that you are all you need you already have, and if you wanna ramp up your amps, know that in every scene you do, you're acting, and you didn't even know it. Embrace who you are.
This class is sold out. If you're on the east coast, there are still two spots in the "You" workshop in Philly, April 15th-17th. See the Workshops list for info!
Viewpoints, Sat., April 23 and Sunday April 24, 10am to 5pm
It's called "Viewpoints." Learn to work from compulsion and joy, not from ego and fear. Work from energy and focus, not from anxiety and doubt. All you need is here. And by "here" I mean at the DC Improv Comedy School.
Set aside all of the unnecessary elements of improv training and replace them with a life-changing awareness of “You being on stage with you.”
A Four-Day Improvisational Acting Workshop. A.N.D. New York. Friday, March 4 through Monday, March 7.
Come for the dinner, stay for the pie.
Come for the game, stay for the scene!
"The Scene at The End of The Game of The Scene," coming to Second City Toronto!
I'm bringing the "You" workshop to Toronto's Second City. It's been a while since I've been up there, and I'm out of this world crazy about the idea!
(This class is sold out, but our Sunday workshop, "The Scene at the End of the Game," still has a couple of spots available.)
